Our products are more than just an air filter and purifier, they are a comprehensive air purification and disinfection system consisting of overlapping stages. The proven Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) ensures the air is completely exchanged every 15 minutes, which is much faster than most brands can provide.

1. Pre-Filters

The primary purpose of a pre-filter is to remove large dust particles that are still suspended in the air example, Human hair, lint, and pet dander. The ETS Pre-filters are cleanable and hence help to extend the life and performance of the main filters within our air purifier.

2. Medical HEPA 13/14 Filters (“High Energy Particulate Arresting”)

Our Medical Grade HEPA 13/H14 are high efficiency and high-quality filters that can remove 99.97% of particulates at 0.3 microns in size (0.3 micron is the most penetrating particle size for HEPA testing). No independent body is required to test or verify the HEPA claim, but ETS has independently been tested by both, the international goods testing group SGS and the Guangdong Institute of Microbiology (GDIM), one of the world’s leading institutes in the field of microbiology.  Our HEPA filters are approved according to EN 1822 or ISO 29463.

Removes: Visible smoke, Mould Spores, Pollen Dust, Pet Dander, fine Pet hair, Dust Mites and their waste and most types of Bacteria.

High Energy Particulate Arresting (HEPA) filters continue to be the foundation filtering technology for many air purifiers.

3. Activated Carbon Filters

Activated Carbon is the most used element in filters, it works by way of a process called “adsorption” which removes particles that are ≤ 0.01 microns. The activated carbon filter’s adsorption process works by trapping pollutants in the pore structure of the carbon and containing them in this filter until the carbon media fills up completely. Activated carbon is one of the most effective filtering methods for removing chlorine, sediment, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and odours from the air.

Removes: Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), Cigarette smoke, Gases, Chemical Fumes, Aerosol Vapours, exhaust fumes and Aldehydes. The quality and quantity of activated carbon will differ greatly between brands. ETS has independently been tested by both, the international goods testing group SGS and the Guangdong Institute of Microbiology (GDIM), one of the world’s leading institutes in the field of microbiology to verify the performance of their Activated Carbon filters.

4. UV-C Filtration & Sanitisation (Photocatalytic Oxidisation – PCO)

TiO₂ filters (titanium dioxide filters) are used in our air purifiers to neutralize organic material, such as bacteria or viruses, through photocatalytic self-cleaning. For this purpose, metal plates made of titanium oxide are coated with photocatalysts, namely nanoparticles of titanium dioxide (TiO₂), and irradiated with UV light. UV-C light breaks DNA/RNA, thereby inactivating the full spectrum of resistant infection-causing microbes. High energy UV-C light (254 nm) has an optimal germicidal effect.

Removes: Has the ability to destroy micro-organisms, viruses, bacteria, mould, and VOCs. Helps to disinfect the air to prevent spread of illness.

5. Plasma Ion Generation (Bipolar cold Plasma)

Plasma is known as the ‘fourth state of matter’ and has been used for air purification since the 1930s. An ion is an electrically charged molecule in the air, formed when a gaseous atom receives enough energy to eject one of its electrons. Positive ions are those that lose an electron, whilst negative ions gain one electron.

These charged ions are created and emitted into the space from the ETS Purifiers and attach themselves to biological and chemical contaminants, chemically altering the molecular structure of each atom to form new, harmless molecules. This treated air is free to circulate in the room, and since any dangerous particles or pathogens have been altered by the generated ions, they are no longer dangerous, and the air is clean and healthy to breathe continuously.

A thunderstorm releases huge electrical discharges that release high concentrations of ions and it is these ions that are responsible for the clean, fresh air that you are aware of after a storm.
